TAIWAN GOVERNMENT RECYCLING SYSTEM
In 1997, the Ministry of Environment implemented the resource recycling policy, and the community sorted the garbage into general garbage, resource recycling, and kitchen waste. Local cleaning teams were responsible for collecting the garbage and recyclables sorted by the people, and the recyclers sorted them out and sent them to the treatment operators for processing and reuse. The manufacturers had to pay the recycling and disposal fees to maintain the overall operation. This model improves recycling efficiency and helps to promote Taiwan's green economy.
